Crowds flocked to the Grand Concourse Sunday for the 33rd annual Puerto Rican Day Parade -- the second largest of its kind in the nation, according to organizers.
The event celebrates Puerto Rican pride, but it's also about resilience -- both on the island itself and right here in the Bronx.
The parade was canceled last year. Its chairman was very ill, and passed away. Board members say they strung together the sponsors they needed to continue the tradition this year.
Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark was among the attendees at this year's celebration.
