An avid gamer with spinal muscular atrophy received a big surprise Thursday from a popular radio personality.
Hot97'S HipHopGamer, also known as Gerald Williams, dropped in on Matthew Muniz in Mott Haven and presented him with a specialized Xbox controller.
Muniz, 26, recently had his hand amputated because of the disease. The controller was designed for gamers with physical challenges.
Muniz’s father says he hopes the gift will help boost his spirits.
