A fallen NYPD detective was honored by the Tuckahoe Youth Association this weekend

Young baseball players wore NYPD baseball caps Saturday as part of a fundraiser dedicated to Brian Mulkeen.
So far, about $2,000 has been raised for the Police Benevolent Association Widows and Children Fund.
Both coaches of the teams "Orange" and "Blue" are NYPD detectives.
A baseball bat with Mulkeen's name engraved on it was raffled off.
Detective Mulkeen was killed last month by friendly fire during a struggle with an armed suspect in the Bronx. He grew up in Monroe and had recently moved to Yorktown Heights with his girlfriend.
