Honoring Our Heroes – Army veteran Terence Murphy

A Seaford man has dedicated his life to preserving law and order as an Army reservist and Nassau County judge.
For Terence Murphy, the Army motto “Be all you can be” is more than just words, it’s a way of life.
Following in the footsteps of his father George, a World War II Army veteran, Murphy joined the Army in 1973.
He spent three years as a radio operator with the 8th Infantry Division stationed in Germany.
After he was honorably discharged, Murphy signed up to serve in the Army Reserves and earned his law degree at Touro College.
His first job as a lawyer was as a prosecutor in the Nassau County Traffic and Parking Violations Agency.
