A local senior living facility has come up with an impressive way to raise money for Alzheimer's research.
Edgehill in Stamford recently held a family carnival event, with food, games and fun. The entire event was run by the seniors that live in the facility.
Edgehill says Alzheimer's is hard on everyone, including families.
"Alzheimer's is a growing illness among our population as we're living longer, more and more people are getting it and there is so far no cure," says Edgehill Director of Activities Mary Bernat.
Edgehill says the residents raised over $30,000 for Alzheimer's research. One person even swam a mile to raise more money.
