Norwalk business owners raise parking concerns at public meeting

Local business owner shared their concerns with Norwalk officials over new parking fees, which are slated to go into effect in two weeks.
Business owners voiced their concerns during a public meeting at Yankee Doodle Garage on Burnell Boulevard Wednesday night.
As News 12 reported, the city installed meters for spaces in the Wall Street area of South Norwalk earlier this week in anticipation of the new fees.
Some spaces have also become designated as exclusive "back-in" only spaces.

Peter Fullam, of Fullam's Inc., says the city needs to go back to the drawing board before the new spaces affect businesses.
"And it's not simple math, so we need it to be simple. The mayor was here so that was really great. He was really receptive to this; I think the parking authority is listening and I think we'll have some good change."
The new fees are scheduled to take effect Nov. 1.
