Free 6-bedroom house - Must be willing to move it

If you’ve ever wanted to own a six-bedroom house, now is your chance. They are giving one away for free in Montclair. But there is a catch – you must find a way to move it yourself.
The owner of the 3,300-square-foot house on North Willow Street needs it off the property or it will be torn down. The home is owned by the Redeemer Montclair Church and needs to be gone to make way for an addition to the church.
"Well, you've got to lift the house. Which isn't as hard as it sounds. You put I-beams under the house. Then have a system of hydraulics that'll lift the house in one shot,” says Tom Lapenter of Wyanoke Builders, the company overseeing the construction of the addition.
The church will be staying put and won’t be touched. Lapenter says that lifting the house may be the easiest part of the move. Moving the house will also require moving power lines, a utility pole and possibly even a tree.
“One way or another, like the house is either going to be in the dumpster or if someone could figure out how to take it, good for them,” says Lapenter.
Demolition of the home is set for January.
