A quiet century-old building sits on the corner of Boston Road and 179th street in the Bronx, but a lot is happening there.

The edifice is the temporary home of the Bronx River Art Center, an organization dedicated to turning creativity into vision within the community. Founded over 20 years ago, the non-profit organization has provided the public with a space for art exhibitions, performances and professional art programs for children and adults.

The association’s current location is easily accessible by public transportation or by car. All classes and programs are on-going while the center renovates its main space.
