'Tis the season for tree lightings, and News 12 has a preview of some coming up this week. There will be lightings on Mosholu Parkway

THE BRONX - 'Tis the season for tree lightings, and News 12 has a preview of some coming up this week.

There will be a tree lighting on Mosholu Parkway, near Bainbridge Avenue, at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Attendees can catch a horse-drawn carriage ride and listen to performances from two school choirs.

A tree lighting at Van Nest Park will also kick off at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. Those festivities include hot chocolate and cookies.

• Ciccarone Park, East 188th Street and Arthur Avenue
Dec. 7, 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.
With cookies, caroling, and a visit from Santa himself!

• Mosholu Parkway, center lawn near Bainbridge Avenue

Horse carriage rides and performances by school choirs from M.S. 20 and P.S. 8.

With hot chocolate and a raffle.

DETAILS: Bronx parks kick off the holiday season with tree lighting ceremonies. These events are FREE and open to the public. All ages are welcome. Event details are subject to change in case of inclement weather.
