Through Bike and Roll's Free Bike Holiday Monday program, adult and children's bikes are free for up to one hour. All free bikes must be returned to Bike and Roll by 5:30 p.m.

Catch & Release Fishing
Friday through Monday, Aug. 30 through Sept. 1 at 10 a.m.

Charles A. Dana Discovery Center
110th Street
Mid-East Park, NY

Catch-and-release fishing at the Harlem Meer is a favorite family and community pastime. Fishing poles are available to borrow at the Charles A. Dana Center, located on the north shore of the Meer. Picture ID required; instruction and bait are provided with the poles.

21st Annual Running of the Great North River Tugboat Race & Competition
Sunday, Sept. 1 at 10 a.m.

Pier 84
West 44th Street and Hudson River
New York, NY

Parade of tugs from Pier 84 to the start line begins at 10 a.m. Tugs tie up to Pier 84 for lunch and awards ceremony at noon. Enjoy exhibits, amateur line toss, spinach eating contest at 1 p.m.

Children's Carnival Parade
Saturday, Aug. 31 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

St. John's Place & Kingston Ave.
New York, NY

The West Indian Day Kids Carnival Parade will assemble at St. Johns Place and Kingston Avenue and will finish at Brooklyn Museum Grounds. The parade is part of the West Indian Day festivities. Click through to the official website above for information on all four days of events.

Saturday, Aug. 31 through Monday, Sept. 2 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.
