THE BRONX - Morris Park shop owners are gearing up for this weekend's annual Bronx Columbus Day Parade.

Stores along the main strip are hoping for a big boost in business as thousands of spectators are expected to line the streets during the 36th year for the celebration. Many are bringing in extra staff to handle the crowds.

Organizers say this year's event will be even bigger than the last, with several prominent dignitaries and celebrities from Italy expected to attend.
