PARKCHESTER - Zaro's Bakery in Parkchester is back up and running following some rough times.

The bakery was forced to close in April after it received 64 violations by the city's Department of Health. Violations included evidence of mice, roaches, bad plumbing and poor sanitation.

A spokesperson for the bakery says, "We spent a lot of time and effort to gut and renovate the back room. This is so we can be back and better than ever."

So far, residents have been positive about the reopening.
