FDNY says one person is dead and two people were injured in a fire in University Heights.

They say the fire occurred on the first floor of a six-story building on 2264 Grand Ave. between Buchanan Place and West 183 Street.

One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another victim was transported to Jacobi Hospital with burns, and the other victim suffered a minor injury but refused transportation to a hospital.
