A man was killed in a hit-and-run accident as he crossed the street in Westchester Square, police say.
The incident happened Thursday on E. Tremont and Saint Peters avenues around 10 p.m.
A 53-year-old man was crossing the street when police say he was struck by a 2000 Lincoln Navigator traveling westbound on E. Tremont Avenue.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say they have not released the name of the man pending family notification.
