The Town of Hempstead is saluting its veterans with a very special performance during its Independence Salute to Veterans.
101-year-old Dominick Critelli led the national anthem on his saxophone.
He's a World War II veteran from Floral Park who survived the Battle of the Bulge.
Mr. Critelli says he performs for the people. "The people are having such a good time here. Beautiful. The sun's out, there's no rain, and everyone is happy!"
Mr. Critelli says he's been playing since he was 13-years-old and he actually has a 17-piece orchestra that rehearses every Tuesday.
