An 11-year-old boy from the Bronx started a business making bow ties.
Chase Taylor says for his 10th birthday, his parents gave him the option of having a big birthday party or using that money to invest in starting a business.
Taylor chose the latter, and has been creating and selling bow ties for up to $13 each ever since. He also donates them to various causes throughout the community. He recently donated some for a fashion show that was held for autism research.
"Bow ties are for anyone who wants to wear them. You can wear them with your Jordans or you can wear them with your Yankees hat, pretty much anything," he says.
Taylor says he usually spends about two to three hours a day working on the bow ties.
His family says they couldn't be prouder, calling him a go-getter who is willing to put in the effort to go after his dreams.
