Bronx residents showed their appreciation for veterans from the borough at the 12th Council District's Annual Veterans Day Celebration.
City Councilman Andy King hosted the event, where 12 Bronx veterans were honored and awarded for their service.
Among those who were honored were John Hall, a flyer with the Tuskegee Airmen, and Willie Thompson, who just turned 100 years old.
“We want to make sure that all of those who have done something to improve the life of all Americans are honored here today,” King said.
This is the second year the celebration was held and those who attended the event say they look forward to it continuing in the future.
