The first legal cannabis store “Statis” will open up in the Bronx in less than 24 hours. 

The finishing touches are underway ahead of the dispensary’s grand opening, and the owners are prepared to open exactly at 4:20 p.m. 

While it will be the grand opening for the dispensary, it's not the store's original location. The dispensary's permanent space is currently being renovated.

Excitement surrounds the grand opening, and Brandon Bianco, general manager of Statis Dispensary, has opened up many other dispensary locations, but says that this grand opening is a little more special for the customers in the Bronx.  

“It’s a little sad that it took this long,” said Bianco. “It’s for the customers all together it’s for the ones that had to go through other means.” 

Bianco says that while this is a temporary location, if it does well enough, it could operate as a standalone dispensary, and the space under construction could potentially be used as a second dispensary.
