Two Bronx women have dedicated their time to organize protests in their community in memory of George Floyd.
Samantha Didonato and Teresa Fanzo have organized their second protest in Pelham Bay Friday.
They say they haven't seen many in this area of the Bronx and wanted to bring the demonstrations closer to home.
Assemblywoman Nathalia Fernandez caught wind of Friday’s protest and stopped by to show support.
"I love that our reach is expanding and getting across to bigger groups of people, just the effects of social media and how we can reach so many people," Didonato says.
Fanzo added, "It was really great to see that we have support of people that are actually trying to make a real change."
The two women say that they plan organizing more demonstrations very soon.
