2 families displaced in apartment building fire in East Flatbush

Two families were displaced in a fire that broke out early this morning in East Flatbush.
The Red Cross says it is helping two families from a building on Rutland Road after a fire destroyed their apartments.
Firefighters say the flames broke out around 6:15 a.m.
The Red Cross says the fire spread from one apartment to another, forcing two families out of their homes.
It took firefighters over an hour to put the fire out. They were able to get everything under control by about 7:30 a.m.
