2 men on the run after woman raped in Soundview

Police sources say two men threatened a 22-year-old woman with a knife and forced her into the basement of a home on Ward Avenue before she was raped.
The incident happened just after 4 p.m. Sunday next to the Masjid Darul Iman Mosque. In video from the scene, you can see officers coming in and out of the home loading paper bags of evidence onto a crime scene unit van.
According to the NYPD, the victim was taken to the hospital to be evaluated. She's expected to be OK.
According to NYPD data, in the area of the 43rd precinct rapes are up 71 percent. This time last year there were 31 reported, right now there are about 54.
Police do not have a description of the men wanted. Anyone with information is urged to call the Crime Stoppers hotline immediately.
