Police released photos of two men they say beat and stabbed a 15-year-old boy aboard a Bx38 bus in Baychester.

The NYPD says the teen is fighting for his life at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi.

The attack, sparked by a verbal dispute, happened as the bus approached the Bartow and Gunther avenues stop just after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say one man punched and kicked the teen throughout his body before the other stabbed him in the chest multiple times with a knife.

The men exited the bus at the stop and ran westbound on Bartow Avenue.

Police say one man was last seen wearing all black with white sneakers. The other was observed in a red sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and beige boots.

The NYPD asks anyone with information to call its Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
