A 2-month-old baby girl was found unresponsive Friday evening in Borough Park and later pronounced dead, according to the NYPD.
Police responded to an aided call at 5 p.m. at 4801 10th Ave.
Upon arrival, officers found the baby unresponsive and unconscious.
The baby was transported by private means to Maimonides Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
It was later determined by police that the incident occurred inside 1520 48th St.
One man who lives in a neighboring apartment says he heard music blaring until 3 a.m. that night, when it suddenly stopped and was replaced with loud banging for around 30 minutes, before one final loud bang and the sounds of a man cursing someone out.
He says he had been recording the music and the banging, after previously alerting the landlord to loud parties that stemmed from that unit that ran until 9 a.m.
"I heard like a hammering then one really loud bang- then f-you from a voice that sounded far away masculine voice," he said, asking News 12 not to use his name.
No arrests have been made, and the baby's identity has not yet been released.
The cause of death will be determined by the New York City Medical Examiner.
