Police say a major drug bust in Morris Park yielded hundreds of pounds of illegal cannabis. Two people were arrested.

Hundreds of pounds of illegal cannabis were seized from the warehouse at 635 Morris Park Ave. that investigators believe was being used to store and distribute illegal cannabis.

Two people were arrested for criminal possession of cannabis and criminal possession of a weapon.

According to officials, the search warrant was carried out by a joint task force between the New York City Sheriff’s Office and local law enforcement.

Inside the two-story warehouse, officers found four shelving units packed with cannabis products, along with bags and boxes filled with even more on the floor. In total, the search resulted in the seizure of approximately 444.5 pounds of illicit cannabis and related products estimated at nearly $600,000 worth of illegal contraband.

Investigators say the breakdown included 216.5 pounds of cannabis flower, 172.7 pounds of THC vape products, 53 pounds of THC edibles, and 2.3 pounds of THC concentrate. Officers also recovered a 9mm Ruger firearm.

Officials say the warrant was obtained after community members reported concerns about activity inside the building.
