2 people hurt in metal pipe attacks on MTA buses; police seek suspects

Two people were injured in two separate metal pipe attacks on different MTA buses in The Bronx, police say.

The attacks happened on May 10 within 8 hours from each other but in very similar situations.

The first incident happened at 2:26 p.m. aboard a Bx35 bus near 165th Street and 3rd Avenue.

Police say the suspect made a loud statement and then hit a 31-year-old man on the head with a metal pipe.

The victim now has a deep cut on his head because of the attack.

The second incident happened the same day on a Bx19 bus at 11:20 p.m.

Police say the suspect got into a heated argument with an 18-year-old boy and struck him in the head with the metal pipe.

Surveillance video inside the Bx19 bus shows thee man holding a metal pipe. The victim also suffered a cut to the head after he was hit with the metal pipe.
