Police say two people were injured in two separate shootings that happened minutes away from each other in Morrisania Thursday night.

According to police, the first shooting happened at 10:02 p.m. at 1020 Trinity Ave. at the Forest Houses. Officials say a 17-year-old boy was shot in his right hip. He was rushed to the hospital and is expected to be OK.

Two minutes later, and just a few blocks over at East 161st Street and St. Anns Avenue, shots were fired. Police say a 50-year-old man was grazed on his arm. He is also expected to be OK.

NYPD officials say the two incidents are not connected, however the shooters got away on Citi Bikes in both cases.

At this time police say the suspects are at large and are asking for the public's help. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
