Police are still searching for a gunman after two men were shot at Mott Playground on Wednesday.
Police say the two men were shot around 4:45 p.m. as they walked down Findlay Avenue. They say an 18-year-old was shot in the neck, and a 20-year-old was shot in the torso. The two are recovering in the hospital and are expected to be OK.
Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from an argument that happened inside of the playground between Findlay and College avenues.
Police say the suspect is about 5 feet 6 inches and fled on College Avenue wearing dark pants and a dark hoodie.
A mobile NYPD command center has been set up to stay there for a few weeks, and neighbors say it needs to stay.
Police sources tell News 12 that the playground was a post they monitored for years before leaving just a few weeks ago. Some officers are now re-evaluating that decision.
