Subway service is back up and running at the 241st Street station after being suspended early Monday morning.
Another assault was reported in the Bronx earlier this month. Police released surveillance video Monday of an assault in the 174th Street subway station that happened on Dec. 1.
Police say a man walked up to a 58-year-old woman, said an anti-Chinese statement and then slapped her across the face.
The NYPD Transit Bureau addressed the stabbing at the MTA Committee meeting on Monday. They say they are actively working on getting more officers inside the subways and are focused on taking repeat offenders off the streets.
