A 200-year-old tree at the UNESCO World Heritage Site in the north of England has been cut down in what officials are calling a “deliberate act of vandalism”. 
The iconic tree was famous to millions across the globe after making an appearance in Kevin Costner’s 1991 blockbuster film "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves."
