The trial for two NYPD officers involved in the 2019 death of Kawasaki Trawick is now over, but Trawick's loved ones say that they are far from receiving justice.

Officers Herbert Davis and Brendan Thompson took the stand on Friday in front of the Civilian Complaint Board, reliving the night they responded to the call of distress that turned fatal.

Officer-worn body cameras captured the two officers entering the home of 32-year-old Trawick, tasing and fatally shooting him. Advocates on behalf of Trawick say the officers' firsthand testimonies were filled with inconsistencies.

According to the executive director of the Justice Committee, both officers admitted to trying to intimidate and scare Trawick into compliance before taking his life. On Friday, advocates demanded both officers be relieved of duty.

Following today's trial closing, NYPD Judge Maldonado is expected to give her recommendation to NYPD Commissioner Keechant Sewell.

News 12 has been told that there is no current timeline of when that report will be done, or if the commissioner will punish these officers.
