A Bronx mom has been charged with manslaughter following the death of her 7-year-old daughter.
According to the Suffolk County police, the girl was found unresponsive in a hotel pool on Long Island in January 2022. She remained in a coma and passed away on May 1.
Police say Erica Baez, 41, left her daughter unattended at the pool on the day of the incident. She was arrested in Manhattan on Monday.
She faces charges that include manslaughter and acting in a manner injurious to a child.
