The Hauppauge Lady Eagles flag football team are off to an undefeated start in their inaugural season.

They are headed to the playoffs as the Suffolk League One champions with a record of 11 wins, one tie and zero losses.

For many of the players, it is their first taste of football - and they are exceeding their expectations.

"I really did not expect us to be good at all," says Hauppauge junior and wide receiver Emma Condos. "I thought we'd just play for fun, but it's turned into something serious."

The Lady Eagles play their first playoff game on Friday. They need three wins to be the overall county champions.
