Elected officials and Bronx neighbors hosted a housewarming celebration Wednesday for a new housing complex along Jerome Avenue.

Jerome Court, the name of the new housing complex at 1769 Jerome Ave., will hold more than 100 Bronx residents.

The complex was made possible through a partnership with Underserved and Bronx Pro Group. The complex will house a variety of people, including formerly homeless individuals and families leaving shelters who experience behavioral health challenges.

Organizers say this is just the beginning and that there is much more work to do for positive changes in the community.
