Man sentenced to 32 1/2 years to life in prison for 2019 mass shooting during Old Timers Day
Kyle Williams was convicted of second-degree murder, second-degree possession of a weapon and first-degree reckless endangerment.

A Brooklyn man has been sentenced to 32 ½ years to life in prison for the 2019 mass shooting during an Old Timers Day celebration.
Community members hold an Old Timers Day tradition yearly in Brownsville Park. On July 27, 2019, 12 people were shot during Old Timers Day. One person was killed.
The Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office says 23-year-old Kyle Williams was the one firing the shots on that day in the park. The DA estimates that around 500 people were on the premises when the shots were fired.
Williams was convicted of second-degree murder, second-degree possession of a weapon and first-degree reckless endangerment.
