NYPD: Man fatally shot in Williamsbridge
Police say that the 28-year-old victim was shot once under the armpit at approximately 6 p.m. before being taken to Jacobi Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

A man was fatally shot along East 223rd Street in Williamsbridge on Thursday evening, according to the NYPD.
Police say that the 28-year-old victim was shot once under the armpit at approximately 6 p.m. before being taken to Jacobi Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Neighbors that spoke with News 12 off camera say they did not hear any gunshots, and were surprised when they walked out and found the street taped off in their neighborhood, which is almost entirely residential.
This area is just a few blocks away from where a 5-year-old girl was struck by gunshots last Friday.
No arrests have been made at this time.
