Dozens of migrants camp outside NYC’s Roosevelt Hotel due to capacity issues

Dozens of migrants Saturday night camped outside Manhattan’s Roosevelt Hotel, which has been used to house migrants.
The mayor's office says more than 93,000 asylum seekers have come through the city's intake system since last spring. Since then, the city has made efforts in providing shelter, but capacity issues at the Roosevelt forced the migrants to sleep outside.
A statement from the office said in part:
"Our teams run out of space every single day and we do our best to offer placements wherever we have space available. Children and families continue to be prioritized and are found a bed every night. While we at least offered all adults a temporary place to wait off the sidewalks last night, some may have chosen to sleep outside. In all honesty, New Yorkers may continue to see that more and more as hundreds of asylum seekers continue to arrive each day."
The mayor's office went on to say that New York City needs help from state and federal partners and urges migrants to try and find shelter outside of the city in the meantime.
