The Anti-Defamation League’s second annual ‘Walk Against Hate’ event on Sunday brought dozens of people to Van Cortlandt Park.

Speakers at the event said the walk comes at a perfect time because hate crimes are a common occurrence in the city and across the country.

Mayor Eric Adams made an appearance to show his support for the event along with other officials.

Rep. Ritchie Torres spoke about hate crimes, saying that everyone can stand up against hate regardless of personal background.

"One need not be Jewish to fight antisemitism, just like one does not need to be Black to fight anti-Black racism,” he said.

Though this is only the second time the walk has been held, organizers said they plan to continue the event each year.
