An 80-year-old man was fatally shot early Sunday morning in Highbridge.
Police say they were patrolling the area of West 168th Street and Ogden Avenue when they heard gunfire. Officers then found Marcelino Valerio with a gunshot wound to the head.
Valerio was pronounced dead at the scene. No arrests have been made yet and authorities say an investigation is ongoing.
