Family, friends, and elected officials came together on Saturday to celebrate the life of Julian Arnold with a street renaming after Arnold was shot and killed in November 2022.

A section of Ridgewood Ave and was renamed to “Julien ‘Big Ju’ Arnold Way.”

Arnold, 35, was struck by a stray bullet while taking out the trash. The street sign will remain in front of that house where Arnold lived.

“To walk out and see his name out on a sign – at least we have something that we can grasp and hold on to...that helps us every day,” said Arnold’s father.

The Arnold family says they want Julien to be remembered for his kindness and his smile and they also plan to establish a scholarship in his name.
