Three people were found dead inside an apartment building at 674 E 136th St. in Mott Haven on Sunday morning.
According to police, a man in his 30s was found in the building's hallway with a stab wound to his chest just after 6 a.m.
Shortly after that, the NYPD said a 33-year-old woman and a 5-year-old boy were found dead inside a first-floor apartment.
Sources close to the investigation said the three victims were family members.
"I feel so bad, I feel so sorry for them. They were very nice people. It was a nice family, it wasn't a bad family or troubled family,” said Dahan Ali, a deli worker who also told News 12 that the family were frequent customers of his store.
The investigation was still ongoing as of Sunday night. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
