A St. James man who was found guilty of killing his pregnant estranged wife was sentenced Thursday to 25 years to life in prison.

Michael Owen was convicted of driving to 27-year-old Kelly Owen's Farmingdale apartment and strangling her in 2020.

Kelly Owen was pregnant with the couple's second child when she was killed.

DNA evidence from Michael Owen was found around Kelly Owen's neck.
