A plan is underway to make New York City the most women-forward city in the county, the mayor says.

Mayor Eric Adams laid out more details on the NYC Woman Forward Action Plan aimed to connect women - including transgender and gender expansive New Yorkers - to higher paying jobs and health care.

The plan includes $43 million to address economic security, maternal health, housing and public safety.

The money is coming from the city, public and private partners, academic institutions and federal grants.
