Four men were released without bail and one man remains in custody in an incident involving the assault of multiple NYPD officers.

On Jan. 27, officers attempted to disperse a group in front of 220 West 42nd Street when a physical altercation ensued. Officers attempted to place one individual in custody, causing multiple others to repeatedly kick officers in the head and body before fleeing on foot.

Yorman Reveron, Darwin Andres Gomez-Izquiel, Wilson Juarez, and Kelvin Servita Arocha, all between the ages of 19 and 24, were arrested and charged with assault on a police officer, gang assault, obstructing governmental administration, and disorderly conduct.

Those four men have since been released without bail prior to trial.

The fifth person arrested in this incident, 22-year-old Jhoan Boada, remains in custody and faces the same charges - assault on a police officer, gang assault, obstructing governmental administration, and disorderly conduct.

The Manhattan District Attorney's Office told News 12 that they are in the process of gathering additional video evidence of the attack and will continue to interview all witnesses.

The DA adds that it is important that they conclusively identify each defendant and specify their roles in the incident.
