A juvenile justice organization based in West Farms is celebrating a new library hub with a special meaning behind it.

Justice for Families held a ribbon-cutting on Friday at its colorful headquarters along Honeywell Avenue to welcome the new library hub. The organization is founded and run by families directly impacted by the justice system and serves as a safe space.

The library hub, donated by United Way, was created in memory of Justice for Families founding board member and Executive Director, Jeannette Bocanegra’s mentor, Inocencia Burgess.

"With resources and hope and space like this, every community has an opportunity to grow and thrive,” said Bocanegra.

The community library space aims to bring the youth closer to reading and literature and will host programming throughout the year.
