For new and soon-to-be-mothers, the Women, Infants, and Children program in Melrose launched as a service for women with low-income.

The service focuses on helping mothers get enrolled in the nutrition program for WIC offering breastfeeding support, education on nutrition and benefits to purchase healthy food.

Those interested can visit the center in-person or schedule a remote appointment to find out if they're eligible for the benefits.

News 12's Samantha Chaney has more on the program and all of its benefits.
