Bronx man identified as victim of fatal '4' train push

The NYPD identified the victim as Bronx resident Jason Volz. Carlton Mcpherson, 24, was arrested and charged with murder in connection to the shove.

A 54-year-old Bronx man was identified as the person who was fatally pushed onto an incoming '4' train on Monday.

The NYPD identified the man as Bronx resident Jason Volz. Carlton Mcpherson, 24, was arrested and charged with murder in connection to the shove.

The Manhattan district attorney says Mcpherson was arraigned and he is due back in court on Friday.

Commuters spoke to News 12 Wednesday about the need for mental health awareness in the New York City transit system.

"I think they should help these people that are having mental issues. They really should put them somewhere and get them help because we're all in danger," said one subway rider.
