A Mount Kisco resident has pleaded guilty to a first-degree manslaughter charge in the death of his housemate.

Oscar Morales, 42, made the plea last Thursday, according to the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office.

Morales was accused of stabbing 36-year-old David Lemus last June. Lemus died a month later.

Morales said the incident stemmed from a fight, which began after Lemus hit him. He said he stabbed Lemus to protect himself.

Morales is expected to receive 18 years in prison when he is sentenced next month.
