The Arthur Avenue Retail Market offers the authentic Italian experience with a story behind every delicious order.
"This is like the mecca of the food world. You can get everything you want here," says Michael Rela, of Peter's Meat Market.
Rela says he's been in business since he was 13 years old when he arrived from Italy nearly 55 years ago.
"We established the business in 1978. We were still going to school. My partner was here, so we were partners in 1976, believe it or not. We've been together ever since," Rela explains.
Rela says every customer is treated like family.
"I already know what they want because they're regulars," he adds.
A few steps over from Peter's Meat Market is a section filled with classic delis, Dominican artisans who hand roll cigars to perfection, and more.
