A group of Bed-Stuy tenants has filed a lawsuit against a landlord who they say has neglected their building for years.

Tenants at 201 Pulaski St. say they've been dealing with a wide range of issues for years, including leaks, mold, rodent infestations and lack of heat in the winter.

The Legal Aid Society has filed a third lawsuit against the landlord, a company headed by Alfred Thompson, asking the court to appoint a private administrator to take over the building’s management.

According to city records, the building has close to 200 city-issued violations. The landlord took the fifth spot on the public advocate’s Worst Landlord List.

"This is this is one of the worst landlords I've dealt with in terms of the just absolute refusal to make repairs," said Linda Holmes, a staff attorney at the Legal Aid Society, who's been working on the case.

The first court date for this latest lawsuit is May 3.

News 12 reached out to the lawyer for the landlord as well as the management company and is still waiting for a response from both.
