Police are on the lookout for a man who violently grabbed a woman in Woodlawn by the neck this past weekend.

Exclusive video obtained by News 12 shows the incident unfold at around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday. It shows the suspect approach the woman from behind, putting her in a headlock and wrestling her to the ground. The woman fights the suspect off before he flees on foot.

Members of the Woodlawn community tell News 12 they believe the attacker intended to sexually assault the victim and that there are concerns in the neighborhood following the attack.

"Terrified. Terrified. Because I don't want it to be me. I don't want it to be somebody's daughter," said one resident.

The community says they want a bigger police presence in their neighborhood to prevent this from happening again.
